Tim : No, let's take a chance. I think we might have some good weather.
아냐. 그냥 한번 밀어붙여 보자. 날씨가 좋을 수도 있을 것 같은데.
Ross : Okay, but l don't want to go hiking in the rain again.
알았어. 하지만 난 다시는 비를 맞으면서 등산하고 싶지는 않아.

* 성격이 모나지 않고, 쉽게 흥분하지 않는 [느긋한 사람]이라는 의미... 그러나 말하는 뉘앙스에 따라서 [만만한 사람]으로 해석될 수 있기에 조심해야하는 표현...

이런 말 정말 하기 싫은데, 오늘 장을 보고 집에 오는 길에 차를 망가뜨렸어.
Tim : You wrecked the car? Nice going. Now what will we do when I need to go to work?
차를 망가뜨렸다고? 잘한다. 이제 어떻게 출근할래?
Kate : I don't know. Do you still have a bicycle? 글쎄. 아직도 자전거 가지고 있니?

Kate : I feel like everyone is deserting me. I just need someone to help me.
다들 나에게 관심이 없는 것 같아. 누군가 날 좀 도와줬으면 좋겠어.
Tim : I'll be there for you. Just let me know what I can do to help.
내가 있잖아. 뭘 도와주면 되는지 알려 주기만 해.
Kate : Thank you so much. Can you help me get this house in order before I go to work?
정말 고마워. 그럼 출근하기 전에 집안정리하는 거 도와줄래?
