Tim : Thanks, but you shouldn't have. I hate to make a big deal out of my birthday.
고마워, 하지만 이러지 않아도 되는데. 난 요란스럽게 생일 치르는 걸 싫어하거든.
Mariah : Well, it's a good excuse to celebrate. 축하파티 할 좋은 구실이잖아요.
Tim : Congratulations on your graduation. 졸업 축하해.
Kate : Thank you. 고마워.
Tim : This is a little something for you. 약소하지만 너에게 주는 선물이야.
Kate : Oh! Thank you. You shouldn't have. 오! 고마워. 이러지 않아도 되는데.
There's no place like home
Tim : Mariah, you look great with a tan! How was your summer vacation?
마리아, 썬탠한 거 아주 멋진데! 여름휴가는 어땠어?
Mariah : I had lots of fun, but I got sick and tired of crowd at the end.
아주 재밌긴 했는데요, 점점 미어터지는 사람들이 너무 싫어지더라구요.
There's no place like home. 그래도 집이 최고에요.
I'll make it up to you
* make it up to = to do something good for someone because you feel responsible for something bad that happened to them
Kate : You do owe me a lot. Don't you think you should pay that back?
넌 나한테 빚진 거 많아. 그 빚 갚아야 되는 거 아냐?
Tim : I promise I'll make it up to you soon. 조만간에 만회할게.
Tim : I'm sorry I stood you up yesterday. How can I make it up to you?
어제 바람을 맞혀서 미안해. 어떻게 해야 보상을 할 수 있지?
Kate : Buy me dinner at a fancy restaurant. 고급 식당에서 저녁을 사.
Tim : Anything you say. 뭐든지 말만 해.

Ross : What's the matter? 무슨 일이야?
Tim : I don't know. The engine suddenly stopped. 나도 모르겠네. 엔진이 갑자기 멈췄어.
Ross : Out of gas? 기름이 떨어진 건가?
Tim : I don't think so. I filled her up just yesterday. This car's a piece of junk!
그렇진 않을 거야. 어제 가득 채웠거든. 이 차는 정말 고물이야.
Ross : Here, let me have a look, I know my way around cars. Open the hood.
어디, 내가 한번 볼게. 내가 차를 좀 볼 줄 알거든. 후드 좀 열어봐.
I'll check the engine. Now, start the engine again.
내가 엔진을 확인해 볼게. 이제, 다시 시동을 걸어봐.
Tim : All right. It's working. Wow, you sure are good with cars.
됐어. 이제 작동해. 와우, 너 정말 차를 잘 만지는구나.

She is a pain in the neck
* a pain in the neck = (spoken) someone or something that you have to do that is very annoying
Ross : He has a nagging wife. He calls her a pain in the neck.
그는 바가지 긁는 아내와 사는데, 그는 그녀를 골칫거리라고 불러.
Tim : Oh, really? How about your wife? 오 그래? 니 부인은 어때?
Tim : How are your new co-workers? 네 새로운 직장 동료들은 어때?
Ross : Oh, one of them is really a pain in the ass.
오, 그들 중에서 한명이 정말 눈엣가시야.
