Tim : Guess how old I am? 나 몇 살이게?
Kate : I'd say, twenty seven? 스물일곱?
Tim : Wow! You've guessed it. 와! 맞았어.
Kate : Really? That was just a wild guess. 정말? 그냥 찍은 건데...
Tim : How old you think he is? 저 사람 몇살이나 되어 보이니?
Kate : I guess he is in his late 30s. 30대 후반으로 보이는데.
Tim : May I ask how old you are? 나이가 어떻게 되세요?
Kate : I'm pushing thrity. How about yourself? 30세에 가까워요. 댁은요?
Tim : I'm 30-something. 저는 서른 몇 살 입니다.
Kate : Really? You don't look it. 그러세요? 그렇게 안 보이는데.
A : May I ask how old you are? 연세가 몇인지 여쭤봐도 될까요?
B : I'm sixty-two. 예순둘이오.
A : Sixty-two? You don't look it. 예순둘이라고요? 그렇게 안 보이는데요.
B : Everybody says so. 그런 소리 많이 들어요.
A : I'll bet. You seem to be sharp as a tack. 그렇겠네요. 아주 정정해 보이십니다.
B : Thank you. I think I'm in the pink. 고맙네. 나는 내 건강 상태가 아주 좋다고 생각해.
* in the pink = in very good health Are you available now?
* someone who is available is not busy and has enough time to talk to you
Tim : Hi, I'd like to schedule a haircut, please. 안녕하세요, 머리 자르는 예약을 하고 싶은데요.
Hairdresser : Sure. When would you like to have your hair cut? 좋습니다. 언제 자르실건가요?
Tim : Are you available now? 지금 가능한가요?
Hairdresser : Actually, no. Not until this afternoon. 지금은 안되는데요. 오늘 오후까지는 힘들겠어요.
Tim : Do you have a room with a double bed available tonight? 오늘 더블베드방 있어요?
Desk clerk : Yes, we just happen to have one left. 네, 마침 하나 남아있어요.
Ross : I saw your help-wanted ad in a newspaper. Is the job still available?
신문에서 구인광고를 보았어요. 아직도 비어있나요?
Personnel staff : No, the position is already taken. 아뇨, 그 자리 벌써 찼어요.
Tim : Do you have a table for six available? 6명 자리 있어요?
Waitress : A table will be available in a few minutes. Would you like to wait?
잠시 후면 자리가 날겁니다. 기다리시겠어요?
I sprained my ankle
* sprain = to damage a joint in your body by suddenly twisting it
Tim : What's wrong with your leg? 너 다리 왜 그래?
Ross : I think I sprained my ankle last night. 어젯밤에 다리를 삔 것 같아.
I can't stand the pain anymore. I'd better go to see a doctor.
아파서 더 이상 못 참겠어. 병원에 가봐야 할 거 같아.
Tim : Looks like it's swollen a lot. Can I give you a ride? 많이 부었는걸. 내가 태워다줄까?
Tim : Doctor, my back is killing me. 선생님, 등이 엄청 아파요.
Doctor : Did you hurt yourself? 다치셨나요?
Tim : Yes, I sprained my back. 네, 허리를 삐끗했어요.
Doctor : What were you doing? 무엇을 하셨나요?
Tim : I was lifting weights. 역기를 들었어요.
Doctor : You have to be careful with those. 역기 할 때는 주의 하셔야 해요.
Kate : What's with the cast on your leg? 어쩌다가 다리에 깁스를 했냐?
Tim : I sprained my ankle playing soccer last Saturday.
지난 토욜에 축구하다가 발목을 삐었어.
Tim : You are on crutches. What happened? 목발을 짚고 있네. 무슨 일 있었어?
Ross : I tripped over a rock and sprained my ankles. 돌부리에 걸려 넘어지면서 발목을 삐었어.
Tim : Really? That's too bad. 그래? 그것 참 안됐네.
I'm so sore from playing basketball
* sore = a part of your body that is sore is painful and often red because you have used a muscle too much
* stiff = if a part of your body is stiff or you are stiff, your muscles hurt and it is difficult to move
Ross : Tim, you don't look so well. What's the matter? 팀, 너 안색이 안 좋다. 무슨 일 있니?
Tim : I'm so sore from playing basketball. I can't even lift my finger.
농구를 열심히 했더니 온몸이 쑤시고 아파. 손가락 하나도 까딱 못 하겠어.
Ross : Try to take it easy from now on. 앞으론 너무 무리하지 마.
Tim : My whole body is sore today. 오늘은 온 몸이 다 쑤시네.
Jay : That'll teach you. You're too old to play five sets of tennis in one day.
그걸로 알겠네요. 하루에 테니스 다섯세트를 치기에는 너무 늙었다는 걸요.

I get carsick
eg) Do you mind if I sit in the front? I get carsick. 제가 앞에 앉아도 될까요? 차멀미를 해서요.
eg) Excuse me, do you have any medication for motion sickness? 실례합니다. 멀미약 있나요?
eg) I'm suffered from airsickness. 나는 비행기 멀미를 했다.
