Tim : What's Jay's cell number? 제이 핸폰 번호가 뭐더라?
Ross : I know, but it slipped my mind. Just a minute. It'll come to me.
알았는데 까먹었어. 잠깐만 기다려봐. 생각날 거야.
Tim : Don't you remember we have an appointment at 6 here in front of theater?
여기 극장 앞에서 6시에 약속이 있는걸 잊었어?
Kate : I'm sorry, it completely slipped my mind. I'll be right over.
미안. 깜박 잊었어. 곧 갈게.
Ross : I should have returned the video this morning, but it slipped my mind.

그 사람 이름이 혀끝에서 맴돌기만 하고 생각이 안 나. 잠깐만 생각할 시간을 줘.

Tim : Get a life! I'd rather go see a movie. 그렇게도 할 일이 없냐? 차라리 영화나 보러 가겠다.

* go to piece = to be so upset or nervous that you cannot think or behave normally
Tim : Why so down? 왜 그렇게 침울한 표정이야?
Ross : Karen dumped me and she going out with some other guy.
카렌이 나를 버리고 다른 남자와 사귀고 있어.
Tim : Did she? 걔가 그랬어?
Ross : Yes. What am I supposed to do now? 그래. 난 이제 어떻게 해야 하지?
Tim : Don't go to piece. This is not the end of the world. 절망하지 마. 세상이 끝장난 건 아니니까.
Ross : I don't think I'll find another girl like Karen again.
카렌 같은 여자를 다시는 만나지 못할 것 같아.
Tim : Come on, Ross. Pull yourself together. Girls like her are a dime a dozen.
이봐, 로스. 정신 좀 차려라. 카렌만한 여자는 세상에 얼마든지 많다구.
* pull yourself together = to force yourself to stop behaving in a nervous or disorganized way
* a dime a dozen = (informal) very common and not valuable
Kate : Oh, my goodness! You broke my favorite dish to pieces.
이런, 내가 가장 아끼는 접시를 산산조각으로 깨뜨렸잖아.
Tim : Don't go to pieces over a broken dish. I'll buy you a better one.
접시 하나 깨진 것 가지고 그렇게 죽는시늉하지 마. 더 좋은 것으로 사줄게.
