I can't eat another bite
* a bit = (spoken) a small meal
Kate : Would you like some more to eat? 더 먹을래?
Tim : No thanks. I can't eat another bite. 아니 괜찮아. 더이상 한입도 못 먹겠어.
Kate : Are you sure? There is lots of food left over. 정말? 음식이 많이 남았는데.
Tim : I'd love to. but I'm full and can't eat anymore. 더 먹고 싶은데 배가 불러서 더 못 먹겠어.
Kate : This cheese cake is rich. 이 치즈 케이크 정말 맛있어.
Tim : I know. That is one of the reasons why I brought you here.
알아. 널 여기 데려온 이유가 그 케이크 때문이기도 하거든.
Kate : Do you want some? 좀 먹어 볼래?
Tim : No, thanks. I can't eat another bite. Just coffee is enough for me.
아냐, 됐어. 한 입도 안 들어갈 것 같아. 커피면 돼.
eg) Let's grab a bite at the airport. 공항에 가서 간단하게 뭐 좀 먹자.
eg) I haven't had a bite to eat all day. 하루종일 아무 것도 못 먹었어.
I'm stuffed
* stuffed = completely full, so that you cannot eat any more
* full = (informal) having eaten so much food that you cannot eat any more
* have/eat/drink your fill = to eat or drink as much as you want or need
Tim : Wow, that was an incredible meal! 와, 정말 환상적인 식사였어.
Ross : Yes, it was. I am stuffed. 나도 그래. 배부르다.
Tim : Me too! 나도 배불러.
Tim : Like to have another dish? 한 그릇 더 먹어.
Mariah : I've had enough, thank you. 많이 먹었어요. 됐어요.
* I've had enough [충분히 먹었다]라는 표현...
eg) No, no dessert, I'm stuffed. 아니. 후식은 안먹어. 배 불러서.
eg) I had my fill. 잔뜩 먹었어.
eg) Have your fill / Eat your fill. 실컷 먹어라.
That was a delicious dinner
Tim : That was a delicious dinner, Ross. I'm glad you invited me.
로스, 저녁 맛있게 잘 먹었어. 날 초대해 줘서 넘 고마워.
Ross : I'm glad you liked it. I thought you might enjoy trying Korean food.
맘에 들었다니 기쁘네. 한국음식 맛을 보는 걸 좋아할 줄 알았어.
Tim : Well, I certainly did. It was an enjoyable evening, 응, 정말 재밌었어. 즐거운 저녁이었어.
Kate : Did you enjoy the meal? 음식 맛나게 먹었냐?
Tim : Yes, it was delicious! I was starving. 그래, 아주 맛났어! 난 아주 배가 고팠거든.
And my stomach kept making weird noise. 그래서 내 배에게 계속 꼬르륵 소리가 났었어.
Kate : Really? I didn't know you were that hungry. 정말? 난 네가 그렇게 배고팠는지 몰랐어.
Tim : I thought I was going to die! 난 죽는 줄 알았어!
I enjoyed it
Waitress : Can I get you anything else? 뭐 더 필요한 거 있으세요?
Mariah : Just some ice water and the check, please. 그냥 시원한 물하고 계산서 주세요.
Waitress : I hope you enjoyed the meal. 즐거운 식사였길 바랍니다.
Tim : Are you enjoying your meal? 식사 맛있게 했어?
Kate : I really enjoyed dinner. 저녁식사 정말 즐거웠어.
Tim : Everything was delicious. 모든 음식이 다 맛있었어.
Karen : I'm glad you enjoyed it. 식사가 맛있었다니 기쁘네요.
Kate : Did you enjoy your meal? 식사 맛있게 했어?
Tim : Yes, I did. 그래. 맛있게 먹었어.
Kate : But you didn't touch this dish. I'm afraid you don't like chicken.
하지만 이 요리는 손도 안 댔네. 닭고기를 좋아하지 않나 봐.
Tim : That's right. I don't like chicken. It disagree with me.
응. 닭고기를 좋아하지 않아. 그걸 먹으면 속이 거북해져.
* disagree with = if something such as food or weather disagree with you, it has a bad effect on you or makes you ill
Have you got a table for two?
Tim : Have you got a table for two? 두 사람 자리 있나요?
Waiter : Certainly, sir. Which one would you like? Smoking section or non-smoking section?
물론이죠. 금연석을 원하시나요? 아니면 흡연석을 원하시나요?
Tim : Either will do. 어느 쪽이든 좋아요.
Waiter : Do you have a reservation, sir? 예약을 하셨습니까?
Tim : No. But, do you have a table for three? 아니오. 그렇지만 세사람 앉을 자리가 있습니까?
Waiter : Okay. I'll be about few minutes. 알겠습니다. 몇 분만 기다리시면 됩니다.
Tim : Yes, please. 알겠습니다. 부탁합니다.
Waiter : Your table is ready. Follow me, please. 준비가 되어 있습니다. 저를 따라 오세요.
미국 및 유럽 여러나라에서는 식당에 갈 때, 보통 예약을 하죠...
그러나 예약을 안 했을 경우 식당에 몇 사람 자리가 있는 지 물을 때 쓸 수 있는 표현입니다...
