피터 : 실례합니다. 우체국을 찾고 있는데요. 이 도시에 우체국이 있나요?
Kim : Sure.
미스터 김 : 물론이죠.
Peter : How do I get there?
피터 : 거기에 어떻게 갈 수 있나요?
Mr. Kim : Go down two blocks, turn right. You'll find it on the left. You can't miss it.
미스터 김 : 두 구역 내려가세요. 그리고 우회전하세요. 길 왼쪽에 보일 겁니다. 쉽게 찾을 수 있어요.
Peter : Can I get there on foot?
피터 : 걸어서 거기에 갈 수 있나요?
Mr. Kim : Of course. It takes ten minutes.
미스터 김 : 물론이죠. 십분 걸립니다.
Peter : Thank you very much. You're so kind!
피터 : 매우 감사합니다. 매우 친절하시군요!
Mr. Kim : You're welcome.
미스터 김 : 천만에요.

Peter : Is this the way to the bus terminal?
피터 : 이 길이 버스 터미널로 가는 길 맞나요?
Mr. Kim : Yes, are you on foot?
미스터 김 : 맞아요. 걸어가시게요?
Peter : Can I walk there?
피터 : 거기까지 걸어갈 수 있나요?
Mr. Kim : No, you can't, it's too far to walk. You'd better take a taxi.
미스터 김 : 아니오, 걸어가기에는 너무 먼데요. 택시 타는게 낫겠습니다.
Peter : How long does it take?
피터 : 얼마나 걸립니까?
Mr. Kim : About ten minutes.
미스터 김 : 약 십분 정도요.
Peter : Thank you very much.
피터 : 대단히 고맙습니다.
Mr. Kim : You're quite welcome.
미스터 김 : 천만에요.

Nancy : I'm afraid I'm lost. Where are we?
낸시 : 길을 잃어버린 것 같은데요. 여기가 어딘가요?
Mr. Kim : We're near City Hall.
미스터 김 : 시청 근처에 있습니다.
Nancy : Which direction is City Hall?
낸시 : 시청으로 가는 방향이 어느 쪽인가요?
Mr. Kim : It's beyond that tall building.
미스터 김 : 저 큰 빌딩 너머에 있습니다.
Nancy : Thank you.
낸시 : 고맙습니다.
Mr. Kim : Not at all.
미스터 김 : 천만에요.
Nancy : Excuse me, but could you tell me how to get to the shopping mall?
낸시 : 실례지만, 쇼핑몰에 어떻게 가는지를 말해 주시겠어요?
Peter : Well, you could go there either by bus or by subway. Which do you prefer?
피터 : 버스를 타거나 지하철을 타고 갈 수 있어요.어느것을 더 원하세요?
Nancy : Which is the best way to get there?
낸시 : 거기 가는데 어느 것이 가장 좋은가요?
Peter : If I were you, I would take the subway. It's faster. And also there won't be any traffic.
피터 : 내가 당신이라면 지하철을 타고 가겠어요. 그게 더 빠르거든요. 또한 교통 체증이 없잖아요.
Nancy : OK. I will take the subway, then.
낸시 : 알겠어요. 그럼, 지하철을 타고 가죠.
Nancy:Can you tell me the way to the nearest subway station?
낸시 : 가장 가까운 지하철역에 가는 길을 말해 주실래요?
Peter : No problem. Go down this road and then turn left. You'll find it at the crossroads.
피터 : 물론이죠. 이 길로 내려가다가 왼쪽으로 가세요. 교차로에서 찾을 수 있을 거예요.
Peter : Once you get there, take the green line to City Hall. Then transfer to the red line. Get off at the shopping mall stop.
